Summer in Bermuda

On the calendar, summer starts on June 20, but out here, the unofficial start to summer is Bermuda Day (the fourth Friday in May). Bermuda Day is celebrated with a parade through the City of Hamilton, followed up by a Gombey dance party, food stalls, and live music. 

Grab some wahoo nuggets to snack on, pop on your favourite pair of Bermuda shorts, and celebrate the start of another incredible summer on the island.

July, August, and September are when temperatures climb the highest in Bermuda. You can expect daytime highs around 29°C (85°F) and mostly sunny skies. Water temperatures reach 28°C (82°F): perfect conditions for swimming, snorkeling, or just paddling around.

Every season has its reasons to visit Bermuda! Summer is a great time to come check out a fun party vibe, with events like Bermuda Day, Carnival, and Cup Match. Spring and fall both offer a more laid-back atmosphere, plus festivals like Art Month and Taste of Bermuda. Winter is ideal for exploring the outdoors comfortably and soaking up the festive feeling around the holidays.

Overall, the vibe in Bermuda is casual yet stylish. Choose lightweight, comfortable clothing like sundresses, shorts, and t-shirts, and pack a light windbreaker or rain jacket in case of showers. For evening, think smart-casual summer dresses, light sports jackets and cotton pants, a light sweater for evening breezes.
