Bermudian AME minister Rev. Dr Lorne Bean takes you on an immersive tour into Bermuda's Black history at historic St. Peter's Church, Their Majesties Chappell, an African Diaspora Heritage Trail site.
The tour follows the trajectory of Black Bermudians from discovery, through slavery to freedom, learning about their contribution to the island's culture and heritage in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Town of St. George, Bermuda's first capital. Included will be the history of King's Pilot James Darrell, a visit to the segregated graveyard and the time of emancipation.
The tour is wheelchair accessible.
