About Gilbert Nature Reserve – Bermuda National Trust
Explore five acres of unspoiled woodland near Somerset Village at the Gilbert Nature Reserve, home to some of Bermuda’s last remaining mature cedar trees. The reserve is an excellent spot for birdwatching, and it has walking paths that connect to the island-spanning Bermuda Railway Trail. Next to the reserve, you’ll find Springfield, a historic plantation from the 1740s. Managed by the Bermuda National Trust, both Springfield and Gilbert Nature Reserve are free and open to the public.
