Seasonal Fun

Go Island Hopping & Cliff Jumping

Rent a boat, jet ski or Hobie Wave Catamaran for an afternoon of island hopping. For an added shot of adrenaline, make your way out to Diving Board Island in Paradise Lakes (or Castle Island) for a cliff-jumping session. On Diving Board Island, test your courage from three different jumping-off points – including one with a wooden platform that requires a running start.

Private Beach Picnic

There is no better way to spend an afternoon than at the beach enjoying a summer picnic. Opt for a picnic on a pink-sand beach, atop a dramatic coastal cliff or wherever the sunset drives you. It is easier than you think and you don’t have to worry about a thing. Planning is easy when you book through a local outfitter like Eettafel for an all-inclusive experience.

Get Sandy at Shelly Bay Beach

This beach is perfect for kids who want to splash around and for parents looking for a little peace and quiet. The water at Shelly Bay Beach is shallow even at high tide, which makes it perfect for snorkelling. Bonus: there's a playground. After a morning on the beach, head to the nearby Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo, where the little ones can learn about the sea creatures they just spotted.

Explore Admiralty House Park

Explore the scenic seaside Admiralty House Park, which features hilly waterside trails and the ruins of a building that housed British Royal Navy brass. If you didn't get enough cliff jumping at Diving Board Island, this is also a hot spot for plunging into the turquoise waters. After you dry off, head into nearby Hamilton for an evening of fun.

Full Day Sailing Charter

The clear, calm waters along with wind and weather conditions here are ideal for sailing year-round, but summer beckons with water temperatures averaging85 degrees Fahrenheit. As one of the few charter companies that picks up guests in the City of Hamilton, Sail Bermuda makes exploring the island by boat a breeze. Hop aboard Wyuna, its 47-foot catamaran that’s fully outfitted with paddle boards, crystal clear kayaks and snorkel gear, for an unforgettable day under the Bermuda sun.

Cool Caves & Ice Cream

For a cool underground adventure, head to Crystal Caves in the afternoon. The refreshing 72-degree air temperature will be a welcome respite after playing in the sun. The kids will love exploring and learning about the mysterious formations. Afterward, reward their curiosity with a tasty frozen treat at nearby Bailey's Bay Ice Cream.

Run Along the South Shore

Sticking to your fitness regimen while on vacation has amazing perks, especially in Bermuda. Go for a sunrise jog along the sandy trails that connect the famous pink-sand beaches of the South Shore, from Warwick Long Bay to Horseshoe Bay Beach. Take in stunning coastal vistas and detour into secluded rocky coves, snapping photos as you go.

Dine Al Fresco

When you dine outdoors on the island, ocean breezes and alluring views pair up with delicious cuisine and drinks to create a dining experience like no other. From beachside to patios overlooking the calm clear water, al fresco dining is a must. Top spots include Blû Bar and Grill, the Lido Complex, The Pink Beach ClubHarry’s Bar, and Ascots at The Royal Palms, other alfresco dining experiences are found throughout the island. Nothing like fresh air and fresh fare.

Enjoy Time Together

Before hitting the beach, order take-out for the whole family from Village Pantry in Flatts Village. Call ahead and while the little ones are waiting, entice them with an art activity book designed by the Bermuda National Gallery. Take a short walk to the dock and dine al fresco. Bonus: Flatts is a perfect setting for a family photo.

On the calendar, summer starts on June 20, but out here, the unofficial start to summer is Bermuda Day (the fourth Friday in May). Bermuda Day is celebrated with a parade through the City of Hamilton, followed up by a Gombey dance party, food stalls, and live music.

Grab some wahoo nuggets to snack on, pop on your favourite pair of Bermuda shorts, and celebrate the start of another incredible summer on the island.

Cricket starts in late June and runs through mid-September. It peaks in late July or early August with Cup Match – this event is played over two days, but the pregame and post-match celebrations turn it into a much longer spectacle! The top players from around the island compete in two teams, one representing the West End and the other, the East End. In addition to cricket you’ll find lots of delicious Bermudian food, music, and a festival atmosphere.

With an idyllic year-round climate, Bermuda’s seven world-class golf courses can be enjoyed all year long!

Overall, the vibe in Bermuda is casual yet stylish. Choose lightweight, comfortable clothing like sundresses, shorts, and t-shirts, and pack a light windbreaker or rain jacket in case of showers. For evening, think smart-casual summer dresses, light sports jackets and cotton pants, a light sweater for evening breezes.

Don’t forget your swimsuit, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat – sun protection is key during the summer months.
