Located in the historic Royal Naval Dockyard, there’s always something exciting to see and experience at the Bermuda Arts Centre. It’s a place that showcases the creative and diverse spirit of Bermudians through a constantly shifting series of exhibits of original artwork from the island’s best local artists – paintings, photography, sculpture, textiles and more are all displayed here.
One of the great things about a visit to the Bermuda Arts Centre is that the artists themselves are often on-hand, happy to answer any questions you might have about their pieces, or anything you want to know about the island’s creative community. Currently, there are four resident artists at the Centre: sculptor Chesley Trott; watercolourist Christopher Marson; oil painter Christopher Grimes; and mixed media master Nahed Eid. Their studios at the Centre are often open to the public so you can see their works in progress. While you’re visiting, be sure to say hello to another Bermuda Arts Centre resident – Little Guy, the art-loving cat.
