Spring Into Adventure On Land & On the Water

Indulgent Experiences

Enjoy a journey for the senses by creating your own signature fragrance during a perfume workshop with Lili Bermuda in the historic Town of St. George. The scents – from refreshing salt spray to lush botanicals – represent an array of island essences.

For a truly unique spa experience, go underground in Prospero’s Cave for a massage at Natura Spa at Grotto Bay Beach Resort. The healing therapies, serene setting, and soothing sounds of dripping water from the stalactites make for a truly restorative retreat.

After resurfacing, spring for some retail therapy. Explore vibrant shops and boutiques in the City of Hamilton and the Town of St. George, both featuring local treasures like island-inspired jewellery with uniquely Bermuda touches. For more shopping options, the Clocktower Mall in Royal Naval Dockyard offers everything from souvenirs to high-end goods.

After dark, join Bermuda Bonfires and VRY Yoga under the full moon at Warwick Long Bay for a yoga session where you’ll flow through gentle movements with the warmth of the nearby bonfire. Afterward, make s’mores and sip tea while relaxing and mingling under the moonlight.

Celebrate Easter Weekend with Faith, Culture & Tradition

As Easter weekend approaches, immerse yourself in the traditions that make this one of Bermuda’s biggest holidays. Join locals in making colourful, handmade kites from wooden sticks, strings, and tissue paper – a craft passed down through generations. On Good Friday, families and friends embrace the spirit of community as they fill parks and beaches, like Horseshoe Bay, to fly their kites and play traditional games.

Transform the way you view Resurrection Weekend during the Walk to Calvary, a powerful experience filled with faith, fellowship, and celebration. This five-day journey is a deeply moving reenactment about the story of Jesus Christ’s final days, blending deep spirituality with warm local culture. It’s an unforgettable way to experience Easter Weekend while connecting with the island’s traditions.

On Easter Sunday, start your day watching the first rays of light during sunrise service at the centuries-old St. Peter’s Church in the Town of St. George. Later, spend the afternoon with locals and other visitors with a festive Easter brunch filled with traditional Bermudian dishes and delicacies. Kids will delight in Easter egg hunts and special appearances from the Easter Bunny, adding a touch of magic to the day.

Easter isn’t complete without a taste of Bermuda’s iconic hot cross buns. Mark the end of Lent with these sweet, spiced buns filled with raisins and a cross on top. Complete your Easter feast with a plate of savoury codfish cakes, or visit any local establishment to get a taste of the classic dish.

The island’s natural beauty is in full bloom during spring, and nothing symbolises renewal and resurrection like the Bermuda Easter Lily. These gorgeous flowers with a deep-rooted history are a staple of Easter traditions locally and beyond – admire them adorning homes and churches around the island.

Experience Cultural Events with Parades, Festivals & Local Flavours

Get immersed in the island’s rich culture at events like the Peppercorn Ceremony. Be transported back in time as you watch a parade filled with horse-drawn carriages, officials in period garb, and the iconic Town Crier narrating the day and its historical significance.

Warm Spring Weather Ideal for Outdoor Fun

In April, warm, gentle breezes start to sweep over Bermuda, drawing people to the island’s outdoor events and activities like a magnet.

The daytime temperatures average 72 degrees Fahrenheit, 22 degrees Celsius, while evenings bring a cooler breeze with temperatures dipping into the 60s (Fahrenheit). Meanwhile, water temps typically hover around 68 degrees Fahrenheit, 20 degrees Celsius.

What to Wear in Bermuda in April

Expect plenty of sunshine in spring, but keep in mind that a cooling breeze or shower may roll in now and then. A versatile wardrobe is key – pack a mix of light layers, long and short-sleeves, and a rain jacket for good measure.

For women, we recommend packing a mix of long-sleeved dresses and cosy sweaters for the evenings. For men, button-up shirts and sports jackets are ideal, especially since restaurants require more polished looks for dinner.

With the temperatures rising, you’ll want to pack a swimsuit for water activities and time on the beach. Many hotels offer heated pools, so a dip in the pool could be an option if the ocean water is on the chillier side.
