Bermuda’s Weather in January

Despite a similar latitude to that of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, Bermuda has a milder climate, thanks to the Gulf Stream. That’s why you’ll find the average air temperature in January is 70℉ (21℃) and the average water temperature is 65℉ (19℃). Underwater visibility is a crystalline 175 feet, with sunshine and cool island breezes above the surface.
Best for: Horseback riding on the beach, sunset cruises, boat rentals, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, kiteboarding, spiny lobster diving, reef fishing, shore fishing, birdwatching, SCUBA diving (in a wetsuit), golf and tennis.
Top events: Bermuda Restaurant Weeks, Bermuda Triangle Challenge, Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts
Bonus: Dogs are allowed on beaches.

Bermuda’s Weather in February

In February, Bermuda is a true playground for wind sports enthusiasts and those in need of a winter warm-up. The average air temperature is 70℉ (21℃), and the average water temp is 64℉ (18℃).
Best for: Spabird watching, cycling, hiking, golf, jet skiing, parasailing, flyboarding, sailing, and kiteboarding, SCUBA diving (in a wetsuit).
Top events: Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts, Bermuda Restaurant Weeks
Bonus: February is Spa Month, when you’ll find great deals from top island resort and day spas.

Bermuda’s Weather in March

Warming air and water make March an ideal late winter and early spring getaway spot. The average air temperature in March is 70℉ (21℃) and the water temperature is around 68℉ (20℃) with plenty of sunshine and refreshing breeze as the island welcomes spring.
Best for: Golf, whale watching, tennis, boat rentals, cycling, hiking, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, jet skiing, parasailing, flyboarding, sailing, kite surfing, and foraging.
Top events: Rugby 7s Tournament, Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts
Bonus: March is the last month of spiny lobster season – get your fill before it goes on hiatus until September.

Bermuda’s Weather in April

Warm island breezes start to wash over the island in April, when the average air temperature is 72℉ (22℃) and the water temperature is, on average, a brisk 68℉ (20℃). April is also a time for events and festivals celebrating the island’s bountiful nature and diverse culture.

Bermuda’s Weather in May

Radiant sunshine and warming turquoise waters create an inviting setting for outdoor fun in May, the start of Bermuda’s summer season. Air temps climb to an average of 76℉ (24℃), while water temps reach 72℉ (22℃) – perfect for rock-climbing and cliff jumping. It’s also a great time of year to sport some Bermuda shorts.

Bermuda’s Weather in June

As air temps reach an average of 81℉ (27℃), and water temps reach 78℉ (26℃), beach season is truly upon us. It’s a time when Bermudians flock to the water for their obligatory raft-ups, frosty beverages in hand.
Best for: Exploring Beaches, Summer Fridays, Scuba Diving, Snorkelling, Cliff Jumping, Golf, Tennis, Spa, Sunset Cruises, Sailing, Boat Rentals, Hiking, and Harbour Nights

Bermuda’s Weather in July

The island is abuzz with activity as abundant sunshine warms the island to 85℉ (29℃). Water temps reach 82℉ (28℃), making water activities like snorkelling hard to resist.
Best for: Beaches, Running, Golf, tennis, spa, cricket, cliff jumping, rock climbing, horseback riding on trails, glow worm cruises, sunset cruises, boat rentals, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, jet skiing, parasailing, flyboarding, sailing, deep sea fishing, SCUBA diving, snorkelling and helmet diving.

Bermuda’s Weather in August

It may be the height of summer, but the average temperature hovers around 85℉ (29℃) throughout the month, and periodic rains help cool down the island (though there’s no real rainy season). Water temperatures peak at 84℉ (29℃). It is an ideal time for all watersports.

Warm temperatures continue through September, averaging 85℉ (29℃) as the water starts to cool down for the season – its average is around 83℉ (28℃).  
Best for: Beaches, deep sea fishing, sunset cruises, boat rentals, cycling, hiking, running, SCUBA diving, snorkelling and helmet diving, Cricket season, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and jet skiing.

Bermuda’s Weather in October

As busy season cools down, so does the air – but not by much. The island averages 80℉ (27℃), while the average water temperature gets to about 78℉ (26℃) – pleasant temps to help usher in the fall season. Toward the end of the month, golf fever envelops the island for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
Best for: Golf, tennis, spa, cliff jumping, rock climbing, horseback riding on trails, glow worm cruises, sunset cruises, boat rentals, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, jet skiing, parasailing, flyboarding, sailing, reef and shore fishing, spiny lobster diving, SCUBA diving, snorkelling and helmet diving

The air remains mild at 75℉ (24℃) as the holiday spirit ascends. It’s a great time for rigorous outdoor activities like running and cycling, as well as boating. Water temperatures dip to a crisp 72℉ (22℃).
