The evening begins with an elegant reception and cocktail hour, where guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails while viewing a curated exhibition of works by our featured artist. Following the reception, guests will be welcomed to an exquisite three-course dinner, thoughtfully paired with selected wines. As each course is served, the featured artist will create a live artwork before the audience, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look into the artistic process and transforming the evening into a captivating performance.

About the Artists:

Alshante Foggo (@artbyalshante)

Alshante Foggo is a Bermuda-born artist and the Creative Director of Art by Alshante. Known for her bold brushstrokes, vibrant colour palettes, and expressive portraits, her work captures powerful emotions through the dynamic relationship between colour and facial expression. Inspired by a lifelong passion for painting that began at a young age, Alshante has expanded her practice across a variety of artistic mediums while remaining true to her distinctive style. Through every piece, she aims not only to create visually captivating art but also to inspire connection, spark conversation, and convey meaningful messages that resonate beyond the canvas. She also has experience with travel to several states in the US as an ambassador for Bermuda Tourism showcasing her artwork. She is now the owner of Strokes in the City Art Studio located in the heart of Hamilton.

Shanna Hollis (@shannahollisdesigns)

Shanna Hollis is an award-winning Bermudian designer, muralist, and artist whose multidisciplinary practice explores Bermuda's culture, identity, community, and island life through vibrant colour, bold pattern, and dynamic visual storytelling. Her work spans large-scale murals, illustration, textiles, and branding, with murals featured throughout Bermuda and internationally. Notable projects include a commemorative mural honouring Olympic gold medalist Flora Duffy and a historic mural in St. George's celebrating Bermuda's UNESCO World Heritage Site. Her work has received international coverage in Footwear News, Travel + Leisure, Essence, Black Enterprise, and Observer. Hollis has exhibited with Masterworks, participated in Bermuda Walls and Wynwood Mural Fest in Miami, and collaborated with the Bermuda Tourism Authority on its "Paint the Town Pink" initiative in New York City. Her accolades include the Bermuda Society of Arts Graphic Design Showcase Award, the Bermuda National Trust Cultural Heritage Certificate, and The Bermudian Magazine's Product & Service Award for Graphic Design. Through her practice, Hollis continues to celebrate and elevate Bermudian culture through contemporary art, design, and visual storytelling.

Nahshon Hollis (@nahshonhollisart)

Nahshon Hollis is a Bermudian painter whose passion for art began at just two years old and developed into a dedicated practice in oil painting by the age of seven, inspired by the iconic Bob Ross. His work spans surreal and highly realistic interpretations of Bermuda's landscapes, wildlife, and natural world, distinguished by technical precision, rich texture, and an appreciation for light and atmosphere.

Hollis held his first solo exhibition at the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art in 2008 and has since exhibited at prominent events, including multiple Bermuda Premier's Concerts. In 2009, he was featured in Oprah Winfrey's Search for the World's Most Talented Kids, and in 2013 received the Bermuda Outstanding Teen Award for Visual Arts. A graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art, Hollis has received numerous honours, including the 2024 Charman Prize and the 2024 Best of Bermuda Award for Visual Arts. His work continues to celebrate the beauty of Bermuda while contributing to humanitarian and educational causes.

Alice Coutet is a Bermudian artist whose diverse body of work spans faith-inspired pieces, portraits, realism, contemporary art, architectural subjects, landscapes, and iconic Bermuda scenes. Guided by a passion for storytelling through art, she creates works that inspire hope, encourage reflection, and foster meaningful connections. Alice is particularly known for incorporating her faith into her creative practice, including captivating live painting performances that reveal powerful imagery before an audience. Whether through commissioned works, exhibitions, or community showcases, her art serves as a platform to uplift, inspire, and share messages of purpose and hope.

Carlos Santana is a celebrated Bermudian artist known for his vibrant and expressive works. Carlos's unique perspective and innovative techniques have earned him a prominent place in the local art scene, attracting attention both nationally and internationally. His passion for creativity and storytelling comes alive on canvas, inviting viewers to connect with the essence of Bermuda. Carlos runs a thriving business that hosts engaging sip and paint events, perfect for private gatherings, children's parties, and corporate functions. His sessions provide a fun, interactive experience where participants can explore their artistic talents while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere. In addition to painting, Carlos also offers personalised caricatures, adding a whimsical touch to any event. His commitment to fostering creativity and community through art makes each gathering a memorable occasion for all involved.

Jahbarri Wilson (@iusecnre)

Jahbarri Wilson is a self-taught Bermudian artist whose style is shaped between the conscious and subconscious style, often using multiple mediums in a single piece. Through painting, drawing, sculpture and fashion, Jahbarri pushes boundaries with his art. Wilson's practice blends abstraction with loose figuration, creating works that feel both intentional and spontaneous. His practice is driven by his curiosity about Bermudian history, global cultures, and the expressive possibilities of painting.

In 2020, Jahbarri exhibited with several emerging artists in the 441 group show at Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art. He won first place in the 2021 Fall Members Show at the Bermuda Society of Art with his piece, Corporate Dilemma. His first solo exhibition, All Play is Spiritual, was held at Masterworks in 2022. Jahbarri publicly created a piece, Star'erfolk, during Bermuda's inaugural Art Month in 2023. He was one of five artists who created pieces for "Art We Ate" at Bermuda Society of Arts in 2024. Jahbarri worked for Bermudian designer Khamari Greaves in Los Angeles for several years. He currently teaches art at Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation.

This six-week course offers an in-depth exploration of ceramic hand–building techniques, from pinching and coiling to slab construction and surface design. Open to all levels, the course is especially well suited for students looking to develop or deepen their ceramic practice through a structured, hands-on studio experience.

Led by Blair Masters, students will learn to create both functional and sculptural forms while developing confidence in a variety of traditional and contemporary hand–building methods.

• Weeks 1-3: Participants will explore foundational techniques including slab building, coiling, and surface decoration, while being encouraged to experiment with their own ideas and creative direction. Demonstrations will include approaches to texture, form, and composition, as well as decorative processes using slips, oxides, underglazes, and carving techniques.
• Week 4: Reserved to fire the student works to bisqueware. The class will not meet this week.
• Week 5: Students return to glaze their work, exploring glazing techniques and color application to complete their finished surfaces.
• Week 6: Concludes with the glaze firing. The class will not meet this week.

By the end of the course, each participant will have completed at least one ceramic piece from concept to finished form, while gaining practical experience across the full ceramic process. More than a technical course, the workshop offers space for experimentation, creative growth, and the confidence to continue working with clay beyond the studio.

Are you interested in joining Print Shop but haven't a clue where to start?  Sign up for this introductory class for novice printmakers or those who might like a refresher. This workshop or similar experience is a prerequisite for joining Print Shop each month.

In this workshop you'll get acquainted with our Print Shop set up, tools and equipment and gain the confidence you need to make your printmaking projects a reality. All skill levels are welcome as we learn the basics of using carving tools, printing blocks, inks, the block printing press and etching press.

After this workshop, you can join Print Shop which is open on the last Wednesday of each month with artist facilitators there to support as you continue to practice with independent projects.

Help bring a beloved community mural back to life! Join original muralist Jennifer Stobo Keats in restoring the vibrant mural inspired by Banana and Flower (1929) by Houghton Cranford Smith in the Masterworks Collection. This collaborative drop-in workshop invites participants of of all ages to play a part in restoring this meaningful piece of public art.  Located in 'The Onion Patch', a quiet outdoor pocket to the left of the Masterworks building, this mural was first painted in 2008.

Participants will discover how artists use the traditional grid method to transform a small painting into a large-scale mural, then put those techniques into practice through colour matching, paint mixing, and hands-on painting. Working together, participants will carefully restore the mural one section at a time.

Whether you contribute a few brushstrokes or stop by to watch the transformation unfold, you'll be part of a shared creative experience that celebrates art, community, and the preservation of Bermuda's cultural heritage for future generations to enjoy.

This workshop is offered in association with An(Other) World, on view in the Butterfield Gallery September 25, 2026 – March 20, 2027.  Admission to Masterworks is free on the Second Saturday of each month so be sure to visit the exhibitions on view.

Jennifer Stobo Keats is a Bermuda-based artist who works in oil, acrylic, and gouache. She enjoys exploring the unique possibilities of painting at every scale and often finds a blank wall just as inspiring as a blank canvas. The scale of a mural offers her a sense of mystery, surprise, and creative opportunity.

Through mural painting, Jennifer transforms ordinary walls into meaningful, colourful spaces that brighten everyday environments. Inspired by the bold and vibrant colours found in nature, she combines scale and design to create artwork that captures attention and leaves a lasting impression. She believes murals have the power to bring beauty and emotion into both public and private spaces, making art accessible to everyone—not only those who visit museums and galleries.

Workshop capacity:  RSVP to paint (24 participants maximum) or to watch (unlimited capacity) below

Workshop format: Drop-in and participate.  Space allows for 3 people to paint at a time. Please expect to adjust the length of your turn(s) based on the length of the queue. Some may be able to paint as long as they like, while others may need to pass the brush after some time to share in the experience.

Featured artwork: Photo provided by Jennifer Stobo Keats pictures the mural's original creation in 2008 and captures a young tree in the foreground. Today, that same tree stands tall—a quiet reminder of how both the landscape and our creative community have grown over time.

Join paper flower artist, Christina Wilson, as she guides you through the art of making flowers in delightful Fall colours. Participants will learn to shape paper petals and leaves by hand, adding realistic touches to create some of the flowers regularly seen blooming across the islands.

In this 4-weeks series you will create three stems: bougainvillea, hibiscus and a Bermuda rose.

Duration: 4-week series, meeting each Tuesday for 2 hours

Christina Wilson specialises in creating paper florals with a high degree of botanical accuracy. Every petal and leaf is handcrafted, hand-painted and shaped to capture the subtleties and uniqueness of each flower.
Her work has been exhibited at The Society of Botanical Artists, London, and at the Bermuda Society of Arts. Christina has been commissioned to create for a wide variety of flowers for special occasions, as bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, and as arrangements for homes, workplaces and restaurants.

Class Size: Maximum of 12 participants to ensure individualized attention and a supportive environment.

Have you ever seen a beautiful painting and thought: "I wish I could do that." Do your paintings feel: muddy, flat, overworked, confusing? You're not alone. Many artists skip the basics; the very things that make paintings work. When you truly understand the fundamentals of great art, everything else falls into place. Painting becomes easier, clearer, and more enjoyable. These fundamentals apply to every subject: still life, figure and landscape.

You can create beautiful paintings! This class is for beginners, and artists who feel stuck. Eli will show you a step-by-step system that gets results. You'll finally know what to do, how to do it and most importantly — why it works.

Each class will focus on:

• Drawing and and simplifying shapes
• Composition and creating a focal point
• How to begin a painting
• Seeing values and mixing colors
• Developing an individual style

Eli Cedrone is an award-winning artist from the US and Bermuda. A graduate of the School of Art & Design at Suffolk University, she also studied in Florence, Italy; The Museum of Fine Arts School and The Academy of Realist Art, Boston. She is the recipient of several fellowships and was Artist in Residence at Masterworks in 2017. She and has participated in juried invitationals worldwide including Bermuda Plein Air Festival, where she won Best Oil Painting award in 2018 and 2019. Cedrone is a popular workshop instructor in the US and Europe.

Join Blair Masters for this 6-week ceramics course where you will learn the fundamentals of clay, tools, and techniques of wheel throwing! Ideal for all skill levels looking to start or advance their practice. You'll have the chance to centre, throw, pull walls, trim, create surface design, glaze, and more. Students will take home a new skillset and up to 3 pieces of pottery! We recommend this course even if you've taken similar courses in the past.

Each week will focus on a specific skill:

• Week 1: Introduction to clay and tools. Students will learn to centre and pull walls on the wheel. We'll focus on throwing forms, making cylinders and bowls.
• Week 2: We will trim and finalize our pieces from Week 1 and students can spend the remainder of class on the wheel with the opportunity to throw additional pieces.
• Week 3: Trimming and putting final touches on your work before the bisque firing.
• Week 4: Bisque firing (class doesn't meet)
• Week 5: Glazing and preparing your work for the final glaze firing.
• Week 6: Final firing (class doesn't meet)

By the end of the course, you'll have completed pieces to take home and a foundation in ceramics to continue your creative journey. Come ready to get messy and explore your creativity in a fun, supportive environment!
