Paget Marsh and Boardwalk

About

Visit this lush and leafy nature reserve to explore 25 acres of green space that remains much like it was when settlers first arrived on the island. The Bermuda National Trust and Bermuda Audubon Society jointly administer the Paget Marsh, home to a peat marsh covered with cedar and palmetto forest. A wooden boardwalk winds through the forest and past a pond, mangroves and grassland, offering opportunities to spot resident and migratory birds. The Paget Marsh and Boardwalk is located right off Middle Road about 10 minutes south of the City of Hamilton.

“hard to find”

For a destination that is 25 acres, there is very little walking to do when finally there. The boardwalk is about 100 yards long. The overgrowth is beautiful. We saw a snapping turtle eating a frog!
