With over 400 years of history and culture packed into 21- square miles, there are many stories to be told. Small group tours will give you the opportunity to meet other adventurers and the chance to learn about life in Bermuda from local storytellers who know it best. There are tons of group tours and activities to choose from, but here are a few for inspiration:

Island Tour Centre has a ton of group tours and experiences that you can join as a single person. From dolphin encounters, snorkelling and diving, bike or Segway tours to boat excursions, they have something for everyone.

Long Story Short offers group walking and cycling tours around the town of St George, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, St David’s, and the City of Hamilton.

Bermuda Watersports offers a range of adventures out on the water. Join a group jet ski tour for a thrill and a great way to zip around the island.

If you enjoy the game of golf, book a tee time and ask if you can join a small group. There is nothing better than making new friends on the golf course, especially when the views are of the beautiful Bermuda waters.

Bermudians love to strike up a conversation. It’s not uncommon to hear stories about becoming instant friends with someone you asked for directions, telling life stories after an encounter on a trail, or meeting someone at a happy hour who gives recommendations to take your vacation to the next level. Whether or not you’re at an event or on a tour, just get out there and keep exploring. In Bermuda, it’s all about the people that you meet and where the journey takes you. 

HAPPY HOURS

In Bermuda, happy hour is a little different to what you might be used to. At hotels, restaurants and bars across the island, happy hours don’t end when the sun goes down, they can be all-evening affairs. It’s the perfect excuse to dress up, enjoy the sunset, be grateful for the day, and also meet new people in a social setting. 

EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

Events happen all year round and range from golf and kiteboarding to triathlons and performing arts. And don’t forget the food festivals too! They’re great places to meet like-minded travellers AND locals. Here are just a few samples of what we’ve got going on this year.  Check the full calendar for more! 

• Culinary events: Every winter, Restaurant Weeks showcases locally grown and seasonally sourced menus at set prices from restaurants across the island. Later in the season, check out Taste of Bermuda which gives you an amazing taste of our African, British, Portuguese, and Caribbean food heritage.
• Carnival: This is one of the island’s biggest summer celebrations, and it should not be missed! From Thursday-Monday you can expect a non-stop party through the days and nights. Most events are all-inclusive and will include local cuisine, unlimited drinks, and lots of soca music.
• Cup Match: Every summer we celebrate our culture and history during Cup Match. With a two-day Cricket match that sees rivals from St. George's and Somerset face off amongst a packed arena of supporters, you’ll be guaranteed to be amongst friends in no time. Make sure to pack some red and blue clothing options if you’re not yet sure which team you’ll end up supporting. On the Sunday, head on over to Mangrove Bay for the biggest raft-up you’ve ever seen. Everyone’s invited.
• Art Month: Art Month welcomes all to experience Bermuda's artistic culture and heritage, from locals to international visitors. By fostering collaboration among local artists, galleries and cultural institutions, this inclusive event celebrates the island’s collective love of art, culture and creativity.
