Long Story Short. is a gift store and tour centre in the cutest town in the Atlantic: St. George’s. Owned and operated by Bermudian blogger and entrepreneur Kristin White, our top-rated tours and experiences celebrate Bermuda's incredible history and have been featured in numerous global publications. Store shelves are thoughtfully curated to feature Black and female authors, artisans and entrepreneurs from around the corner and around the world. You’ll find books by women of color, gifts from social enterprises, planet-friendly jewelry and housewares, vintage bicycle rentals and custom hula hoops. Long Story Short is also the home of award-winning local artisan skincare line, Salt Spray Soap Co, with a workshop right in the store. We are story-tellers, tree-huggers, proud feminists, LGBTQ+ allies, and wear the ‘social justice warrior’ badge proudly.

Presented in partnership with celebrated local rum brand, Gosling's Bermuda, this one-of-a-kind tour is a unique experience that celebrates the stories and flavours of our beautiful home. Join Kristin White, an award-winning tour guide, for an unforgettable experience. Discover the fascinating history of 18th century buildings in the Town of St. George and, at each site, indulge in a signature craft cocktail made with Gosling's spirits and fresh, locally-sourced ingredients by a skilled mixologist.

Tour departs from the Visitor Service Centre, York St and ends at Long Story Short, Water Street. 

$125/person, includes 3 cocktails, glass of bubbly, museum fees

Explore the hidden gems of St. George's on our 2 hour electric bicycle tour. Discover picturesque beaches, secluded coves, and historic forts that transport you to another world. Your tour will start in the heart of town, at our e-bike hut beside the main town square, with an overview of the history of our UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, we'll ride up and around to the coast, taking in the gorgeous scenery along the coast.

  • Soak up the breathtaking views of the turquoise waters and rugged cliffs, stopping along
    the way to take photos, and have a swim if desired

Resilience: Bermudians of African Descent In 1616, Bermuda became the first English colony to use enslaved Africans, and slavery would continue on this island until Emancipation on August 1, 1834. This tour focuses on the stories of people of African descent. Walk-in their footsteps and learn of their rebellion, resistance, and resilience.

  • Visit sites along the African Diaspora Heritage Trail.
  • Learn about the first Black man elected to the US House of Representatives who escaped to Bermuda during the American Civil War.
  • Visit one of the only remaining cemeteries for Black people from Bermuda's first centuries.
  • See the first home in Bermuda purchased by a Black person, a member of the largest free Black community before Emancipation.
  • Discover the history of our annual Cup Match Emancipation Celebration.
