About Bermuda Triangle Challenge

The Chubb Bermuda Triangle Challenge takes place each January in Bermuda during the U.S. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend. The race weekend offers a distance and race for everyone: the BF&M 10k Run/Walk, the PwC Bermuda Half Marathon, and the PwC Bermuda Marathon. Or, for those interested in a unique challenge, extra bling (including a Finisher’s jacket!), and ultimate bragging rights, register for the Chubb Half Bermuda Triangle Challenge (the Butterfield Front Street Mile on Friday night, the BF&M 10k on Saturday, and the PwC Bermuda Half Marathon on Sunday) or the Chubb Full Bermuda Triangle Challenge (the Butterfield Front Street Mile on Friday night, the BF&M 10k on Saturday, and the PwC Bermuda Marathon on Sunday). 3 races, 3 days, 1 beautiful island. Can YOU survive the Bermuda Triangle Challenge? In 2020 the PwC Bermuda Marathon course was changed from a two-loop course to a point-to-point course that starts in the historic Royal Naval Dockyard on the west end of the island. The new course, which was well-received by runners in its inaugural year, offers participants a running tour of the island, passing by some of Bermuda’s famous beaches and historic sights, including Gibb’s Lighthouse, the Railway Trail, and Flatts Village. The new course is also IAAF certified and is a Boston Qualifier. Plus, for those runners looking to have a little fun, both the PwC Bermuda Half and Full Marathon courses feature rum stops courtesy of Gosling’s. On Saturday and Sunday, participants are invited to celebrate their accomplishments at the post-race Finisher’s Villages, which offer a variety of free refreshments courtesy of Butterfield & Vallis, including local microbrew On De Rock beer, and free rum cocktails from Gosling’s, as well as live entertainment. You may even get to dance with Bermuda’s famous Gombeys! Compared to most locations in the US, Canada, and UK, the winter climate in Bermuda is mild, with average highs in the 70s and lows in the 60s, making it an ideal place to escape the harsh winter weather and run in paradise. Only a short 2-2.5-hour flight from most major US East Coast cities, and Toronto, Bermuda is a convenient destination for your next RUN-cation.
