Make your own one-of-a-kind souvenir with a session at studio8.glass. The studio is located inside Dockyard Glassworks in the Royal Naval Dockyard, and visitors can take a lesson in fusing glass to create original jewellery. The sessions last about two hours, and participants normally make six or more pieces using coloured glass fragments. Once the pieces are laid out, they go into Glassworks' kiln to be fired at 1500 degrees Fahrenheit. When cooled, you can have the pieces drilled or mounted to complete your work of art before taking it home.
