Since 1945, the Bermuda Musical and Dramatic Society (BMDS) has been a valuable resource for theatre lovers, whether visitors or locals. Every year’s schedule is packed with shows and concerts, ranging from classic Broadway musicals to new works from Bermudian playwrights. And there’s always a little room for Shakespeare, too. Performances usually take place at the Daylesford Theatre/Bar in Hamilton.
Every March, Harvard University’s legendary Hasty Pudding comedic theatre group returns to Hamilton’s City Hall Theatre to perform its inimitable “no-holds-barred burlesque,” with men playing both the male and female roles. It's hilarious stuff that has to be seen to be believed.
