Waterville – Bermuda National Trust – Rose Garden At Waterville

About Waterville – Bermuda National Trust

The Bermuda National Trust is a charity dedicated to preserving the natural, architectural and historic treasures of Bermuda – and to making them available to the public wherever possible. The trust was established in 1970, and manages 11 historic sites in the Town of St. George alone. It also oversees cemeteries, nature reserves, archeological sites and gardens throughout the island. The headquarters of the Bermuda National Trust is at Waterville, a preserved estate from 1725, where you can tour the Bermuda Rose Society's showcase garden as well as the Mary-Jean Mitchell Green Memorial Garden and Gazebo.

La Petite Soirée is partnering with the Bermuda National Trust to host a 2.5-hour workshop experience at Waterville, a breathtaking 300-year-old Bermuda property,  the perfect setting for an evening of timeless correspondence, creativity, and connection.

A handwritten letter is never "just a letter." It's a gift. It holds love, preserves memories, and brings joy in our absence. In this workshop, you'll learn how to turn simple correspondence into a sensory experience one that surprises, delights, and feels deeply personal.

What you'll experience:

  • You'll be welcomed with a drink and light refreshments as you settle into the space

  • Learn the foundations of thoughtful letter writing, including how to create a letter that feels like a keepsake

  • Write a letter to your future self on handmade paper (filled with your hopes, wishes, and intentions)

  • Discover an introduction to wax seals, including the rich symbology and hidden messages woven into classic designs.

  • Create press flower wax seals (a customer favourite)

  • Practice multiple seals with guided instruction so you feel confident creating them again at home

A beautiful bonus:

After the workshop, your letter will be mailed back to you in 3 months' time, a gentle reminder of what you wanted for yourself and who you were becoming.

You'll also take everything home:

All wax seal tools used in the workshop are yours to keep, so you can continue making pressed flower wax seals anytime you feel inspired.

*This is a small-group experience and spaces are very limited.  We HIGHLY recommend you reserve your spot today.
