The Lunar Table: Yi Peng Moon Experience
Experience an evening inspired by the beauty, warmth, and traditions of Northern Thailand's celebrated Yi Peng Festival of Lights at The Loren.
The evening begins with a thoughtfully curated Asian-inspired dinner, where each course showcases the vibrant flavours, seasonal ingredients, and rich culinary heritage of the region. Set against the backdrop of a starlit sky, guests will enjoy an intimate dining experience designed to celebrate connection, gratitude, and the simple pleasure of sharing a meal together.
As dinner draws to a close, the experience continues with a symbolic lantern release—a cherished tradition that invites guests to pause, reflect, and embrace new beginnings. As glowing lanterns drift into the night sky, carrying wishes, hopes, and intentions for the future, the moment becomes a beautiful reminder of light, renewal, and the power of shared experiences.
About Yi Peng
For centuries, releasing a lantern has symbolized letting go of misfortune, negativity, and the burdens of the past while welcoming good fortune, peace, and new beginnings. Each lantern is believed to carry wishes and aspirations, making the tradition a powerful expression of reflection and optimism.
