About Writers In Residence: An Opening Toast with Brisa Carleton

Writers In Residence - An Opening Toast with Brisa Carleton; Goslings Cocktail Class & Authors' Dinner at The Residence

Cheers to the literary weekend ahead with an unforgettable evening at The Residence. Begin with a hands-on Goslings cocktail class led by Brisa Carleton, author of Last Call at the Savoy. Drawing inspiration from her book, Brisa will guide guests through the history and technique behind the Hanky Panky, the classic cocktail born at London's Savoy Hotel, re-imagined with a Bermudian twist using Goslings rum.

The evening continues with an intimate Opening Dinner alongside all participating authors - great conversation, great food, and the perfect first chapter to the weekend ahead. One ticket, two standout experiences.

Meet Brisa
Brisa grew up in the Pacific Northwest before moving to Midtown Manhattan to turn her passion for musicals and "flair for the dramatic" into an award-winning career as a Broadway producer. Three Tony Awards later, she continues to be active on Broadway, working on numerous productions including Hamilton, Beautiful and Moulin Rouge. In 2019 at the request of HSH Prince Albert of Monaco Brisa joined his foundation to lead philanthropy efforts in theater, dance and film on behalf of his mother, Princess Grace Kelly. Most recently she turned her entrepreneurial spirit to actual "spirits," launching Literati Spirits, a premium vodka created by book lovers for book lovers. She enjoys travelling to literary destinations with a martini in one hand and a manuscript in the other, collecting stories with her husband Mark and her chihuahua, Mister Big.

Intuitive Golf Retreat Bermuda with PGA Master Professional Scott Cranfield

Founders Private Edition
March 25–29 | Newstead Belmont Hills

Play Golf With Freedom, Confidence & Natural Control

A small-group, on-course retreat designed to help you play your best golf without forcing swing changes or overthinking your game.

Strictly limited to 6 guests to ensure depth and personal attention.

A Different Way to Improve Your Golf

Most golfers already know what they should be doing yet struggle to do it when it matters.

This retreat is about helping you clear mental clutter, release physical
tension, and reconnect with the way your body naturally moves.

You will not leave with more swing thoughts.
You will leave understanding your own golf.

You will know why your game goes off.
You will know how to get back on track.
You will feel calmer over the ball and more in control.

This is performance through ownership.

How the Retreat Works

The retreat is led by PGA Master Professional Scott Cranfield, who will be present throughout your time in Bermuda, guiding the group on the course each day.

The experience is primarily held on the golf course where real golf happens. Throughout your time in Bermuda, you'll take part in guided play, on-course coaching, and small-group conversations focused on awareness, natural movement and mindset.

Although this is not about rebuilding technique, many players find that their swing improves naturally, often in areas they have been trying to change for years, simply because tension and interference reduce.

Play Golf Across Bermuda

Most golf retreats combine tuition with hospitality.
This retreat is built around transformation.

It is intentionally limited to 6 guests because every player is coached personally on the course. Nothing is diluted. Every round becomes part of the learning.

4-Night Founders Private Edition
Four days of guided golf across some of Bermuda's most established and enjoyable courses.
Across the retreat, you'll experience variety and contrast from dramatic coastal layouts to strategic inland designs.

Day 1 Belmont Hills
Day 2 Turtle Hill
Day 3 Port Royal
Day 4 Belmont Hills

4-Night Retreat

What This Is Not

This is not hours on the practice ground
trying to groove an idealised swing. It's not a technical rebuild. And it's not about adding more thoughts.

It's about simplifying, not adding.

Your Host Resort

The retreat is hosted at Newstead Belmont Hills, a relaxed and elegant resort that allows you to step away from everyday distractions and fully immerse yourself in the experience.

The golf environment is intentionally informal and unpressured, an ideal backdrop for developing awareness, confidence, and a more natural way of playing.

The environment is relaxed. The coaching is focused.

  • Accommodation (single or double occupancy options available)
