Where Bermuda Began - St. George's Private Historic Walking Tour

About Where Bermuda Began - St. George's Private Historic Walking Tour

The Bermuda you'll remember isn't the one you simply saw—it's the one you truly understood.
Discover the Bermuda that most visitors never see on this private Bermuda walking tour through the island's historic East End. Designed for cruise visitors and island guests alike, this immersive experience reveals the UNESCO World Heritage Town of St. George's through the eyes of knowledgeable local storytellers.
Walk centuries-old cobblestone streets where English America first took root, stand inside historic churches that have welcomed worshippers for over 400 years, and uncover the remarkable stories of shipwrecks, settlers, privateers and survival that transformed a tiny Atlantic island into one of the most important crossroads of the British Empire.
Your private guide isn't simply reciting history. Robin Trimingham and Bill Storie are authors, journalists, researchers and Bermuda Tourism Authority Certified guides who have spent decades bringing Bermuda's extraordinary stories to life. Every tour is conversational, flexible and adapted to your interests, walking pace and curiosity.
Because every tour is private, you'll never feel rushed. Instead, you'll enjoy the freedom to linger a little longer, take photographs, ask questions, and spend more time exploring the places that capture your imagination.
As you wander through the historic streets and hidden alleyways of St. George's, you'll uncover fascinating stories of explorers, shipwrecks, settlers and everyday island life while enjoying genuine conversations with your local guide. Along the way, you'll gain insight into corners of Bermuda that many visitors never experience.
Whether this is your first visit to Bermuda or you've returned to explore the island more deeply, you'll leave with far more than photographs. You'll gain a richer understanding of Bermuda's history, culture and character—and memories of the people, places and stories that make this island unlike anywhere else in the world.
