Yi Peng Dinner Experience

Experience an evening inspired by the beauty, warmth, and traditions of Northern Thailand's celebrated Yi Peng Festival of Lights at The Loren.

The evening begins with a thoughtfully curated Asian-inspired dinner, where each course showcases the vibrant flavors, seasonal ingredients, and rich culinary heritage of the region. Set against the backdrop of a starlit sky, guests will enjoy an intimate dining experience designed to celebrate connection, gratitude, and the simple pleasure of sharing a meal together.

As dinner draws to a close, the experience continues with a symbolic lantern release—a cherished tradition that invites guests to pause, reflect, and embrace new beginnings. As glowing lanterns drift into the night sky, carrying wishes, hopes, and intentions for the future, the moment becomes a beautiful reminder of light, renewal, and the power of shared experiences.

About Yi Peng

For centuries, releasing a lantern has symbolized letting go of misfortune, negativity, and the burdens of the past while welcoming good fortune, peace, and new beginnings. Each lantern is believed to carry wishes and aspirations, making the tradition a powerful expression of reflection and optimism.

Join us for an unforgettable evening where exceptional cuisine, meaningful tradition, and the magic of Yi Peng come together to create a truly memorable celebration.

  • Tickets are $255 per guest, including gratuities
  • Starts at 7:00pm
  • Hosted at The Loren Hotel

2026 Bermuda Gold Cup
Royal Bermuda Yacht Club

The King Edward VII Gold Cup is the oldest match racing trophy in the world for competition involving one-design yachts. It is a highly prestigious trophy with a rich tradition. It was the only King's Cup ever to be offered for competition in the United States which could be won outright. The Gold Cup was given in 1907 by King Edward VII at the Tri-Centary Regatta at Jamestown, Virginia. The Regatta was held in commemoration of the 300th Anniversary of the first permanent colony in America. The Trophy was won by C. Sherman Hoyt sailing his "Q" yacht Capsicum. It is a founding event of the World Match Racing Tour and is one of 3 World Championship Open Match Racing graded events outside of the the Open World Championships: meaning maximum points for competitors can be earned.

A regular 'who's who' of past America's Cup winners are engraved on the trophy: Sir Russell Coutts has won the event 7 times; Sir Ben Ainslie twice; Andy Green, Peter Gilmour & Jimmy Spithill have one it once.

Racing takes place in Hamilton Harbour.
