Bermuda Welcomes a New South Shore Experience as Palmetto Beach Club Opens August 13

Visitors can enjoy limited-time access to Fairmont Southampton’s new beachfront destination, featuring oceanfront dining, a pink-sand beach, an infinity pool, private cabanas and live entertainment.

SOUTHAMPTON, BERMUDA — August 5, 2026 — A new beachfront experience is coming to Bermuda’s celebrated South Shore. Fairmont Southampton will open Palmetto Beach Club on Thursday, August 13, inviting visitors and residents to discover the first completed experience in the resort’s highly anticipated return.

Framed by Bermuda’s pink sand and turquoise North Atlantic waters, Palmetto Beach Club offers an exciting new way to spend a day on the island. Guests can relax beside the oceanfront infinity pool, enjoy dedicated beach service, reserve a private cabana or gather for lunch, dinner and sunset cocktails at The Grill.
The opening marks the first chapter in Fairmont Southampton’s wider return later this year and gives visitors an early look at the warmth, character and distinctly Bermudian hospitality shaping the resort’s next era.

A New Way to Experience Bermuda’s South Shore. Palmetto Beach Club has been designed as a relaxed yet elevated coastal escape where visitors can slow down, reconnect and enjoy Bermuda at its own pace. At the heart of the experience is The Grill, an all-day restaurant celebrating Bermuda’s coastal flavours through freshly prepared sushi, vibrant salads, premium seafood, grilled steaks, handcrafted pastas and seasonal local ingredients.

A cocktail programme inspired by Bermuda’s rum heritage complements an evolving calendar of live entertainment, wellness activities and social gatherings. An expansive event lawn, private cabanas and attentive pool and beach service create an easy transition from sun-filled afternoons to memorable evenings by the ocean.

Palmetto Beach Club was developed by Paris Society Consulting, Ennismore’s in-house food and beverage studio, bringing international hospitality expertise together with a design and atmosphere rooted in Bermuda’s character.

The Beach Club will initially operate Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
A Limited-Time Invitation for Visitors. Ahead of Fairmont Southampton’s wider reopening, visitors and Bermuda residents can experience Palmetto Beach Club through a limited-time Day Pass programme. Day Passes include access to the oceanfront infinity pool, pink-sand beach and poolside service. Guests may also enhance their visit by reserving a private cabana or selecting from available add-on experiences.

The Grill will welcome visitors for lunch and dinner by advance reservation during this introductory period. Guests can enjoy a leisurely South Shore lunch or reserve an evening table as the sun sets over the North Atlantic.

Once Fairmont Southampton fully reopens, Day Passes will be phased out and daytime access to Palmetto Beach Club and The Grill will become exclusive to hotel guests and Resort Members. The Grill will continue welcoming visitors and Bermuda residents for evening dining by advance reservation.
