Bermuda’s Unconventional, Unforgettable Waterfront Venues

Make one of the island’s most defining attributes a centerpiece of your event. Water-centric spaces are sure to impress and inspire, whether you choose an award-winning hotel on the harbour or a dramatic oceanfront fort.

The Loren at Pink Beach

Selecting a venue on or near the water is an easy way to wow attendees. Below are some of Bermuda’s standout waterfront venues, ideal for meetings, conferences and other events.

Venues with Panoramic Ocean Views

The Loren at Pink Beach

Perched on ocean cliffs overlooking rosy sands, the new, ultra-modern Loren at Pink Beach offers event spaces as crisp and sophisticated as its décor. Spaces that can accommodate 10 to 200 people range from ocean-view patios to intimate rooftop meeting rooms. Of particular note: The Disc, a dramatic, round, oceanfront deck that can accommodate up to 200 people. On-site catering includes island-influenced fare such as fish chowder and local catch.

Elbow Beach Bermuda

On the South Shore, the popular resort Elbow Beach Bermuda offers more than 10,000 square feet of versatile event space with ocean views. Among the offerings: nine indoor meeting rooms, a private beach (great for seafood barbecues), banquet space for up to 200 people and Mickey’s, One of Bermuda’s restaurants situated directly on the pink-sand beach. 

Commissioner's House

The Commissioner’s House, a grand, 19th-century mansion, is located within the National Museum of Bermuda at Royal Naval Dockyard. With wrap-around porches, the space can host 150 people for dinner and 200 for cocktails, adding a sense of history and timelessness to any event. The Commissioner's House and the outdoor parade grounds offer sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and Great Sound. 

Fort St. Catherine

Fort St. Catherine

Fort St. Catherine, the island’s largest fort, features dramatic water views since it sits at the confluence of Achilles’ Bay, Gates Bay and the North Atlantic Ocean. Events can be hosted in various spaces around the circa-1609-edifice, including on the ramparts overlooking the ocean.

The St. George’s Club

The private St. George’s Club, known for its water vistas, can host small meetings at either of its restaurants: Griffin’s or The Beach House. The Somer’s Lounge (named for one of Bermuda’s earliest settlers) boasts 1,500 square feet of space with a balcony overlooking St. George’s and the harbour, and can host up to 75 guests. Griffin’s can hold up to 40 people in 800 square feet. Menu options range from some of the island’s best pizza and seafood dishes.

Bella Vista

In attendees’ sightlines at Bella Vista, an acclaimed West End Italian restaurant: water panoramas and one of the world’s finest golf courses, the Port Royal. Menu options include frozen Dark ‘n Stormies, local rockfish soup and homemade pastas. 

Spaces with Bay & Harbour Vistas 

Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa

Multiple event spaces at Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa overlook shimmering Mangrove Bay, including the 3,221-square-foot Tamarisk Restaurant and the Port of Call room, where smaller groups can meet or dine amid fireplaces and historic décor. On the west side of the property, the restaurant Breezes offers views of Long Bay Beach and can host lively beach barbecues.

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club

The iconic, pink-hued Hamilton Princess & Beach Club recently underwent a $100+ million renovation. It offers multiple meeting spaces. The Harbourview Ballroom overlooks Hamilton Harbour and has a dramatic coved ceiling; it can accommodate up to 1,000 people depending on its configuration. The Princess Ballroom can hold up to 500 people, and the Trudeau Ballroom, also with harbour views, fits up to 200 in an ornately decorated space with adjoining terrace. There are also many outdoor spaces available, including the Princess Beach Club, which can be used for evening events of up to 700 people. In-house catering includes dishes from Marcus Samuelsson’s on-site restaurant.

Harbourfront Restaurant @ BUEI

Known for its eclectic menu of sushi, pastas and vegetarian fare, the award-winning Harbourfront Restaurant has uninterrupted views of Hamilton Harbour. Both indoor and outdoor spaces can accommodate 20 to 400 people. Options include the waterside dock, which can host up to 60 guests for a seated dinner, or the elegant Sushi Lounge for up to 55 people.

Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort & Spa

The Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort & Spa, a boutique resort with views of Hamilton Harbour and downtown Hamilton, can host up to 150 guests for meetings, weddings or parties. Options include holding events on the Pool Terrace, in a 750-square-foot boardroom or on the resort’s private yacht. In-house catering offers customizable menus and the option of hosting your event at hotel restaurant Beau Rivage, featuring the French-influenced cuisine of chef Jean Claude Garzia.

Royal Bermuda Yacht Club (RBYC)

Established in 1844, the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club acquired its Royal Charter in 1846, making the RBYC the 20th Royal Yacht Club in the world and one of the oldest in the Western Hemsiphere. Located off of Front Street, the Terrace space here offers splendid views of Hamilton Harbour and the marina. 

Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort & Spa

Pier 6

Perfectly situated along Hamilton Harbour, Pier 6 is one of Bermuda’s newest event facilities, allowing for intimate to large productions to be staged next to Bermuda’s iconic waterfront. With a magnificent harbour vista, this purposely-built iconic structure is perfect for convention services, weddings, concerts and private gatherings. 

The Pickled Onion

Amid the colourful décor of The Pickled Onion restaurant in the City of Hamilton, you can host an event for up to 100 guests. The outdoor deck offers views of Hamilton Harbour. The menu blends island and Asian flavours and includes options like curried fish cakes and flat breads.

Port O' Call

In the elegant, intimate surrounds of Port O' Call in the City of Hamilton, a private dining room can hold up to 16 people for a seated dinner — and its second floor balcony overlooks bustling Front Street and Hamilton Harbour, which looks esepcially good at sunset. The restaurant's refined, locally influenced cuisine includes blackened grouper, steaks and ceviche.

The Spirit of Bermuda

Sailing Charters

The Spirit of Bermuda, a replica of a traditional Bermuda sloop, can be chartered for groups of up to 50 people. You’ll need to arrange for any catering or bar services independently, though boat staff can make recommendations. Fees benefit the Bermuda Sloop Foundation, which teaches young people to sail. The Bermuda 77 catamaran ZARA is also available for private charter. The largest and most luxurious sailing charter yacht on the island, it is great for intimate on-the-water gatherings with friends or family, or large cocktail cruises.  

Boat Cruises

You can charter dinner and cocktail cruises, glow-worm trips and snorkel excursions on the RV Endurance, a 45-foot lobster-style vessel that can hold up to 45 passengers. It’s owned by the Bermuda Zoological Society.

“Diver in the Tank” Program at BAMZ

Bring your event to life at the Bermuda Museum, Aquarium & Zoo, where events in the Aquarium Hall use real exhibits as a backdrop. You can also hire a diver to be in the tank feeding fish and giving commentary. This unconventional space can accommodate up to 100 for a seated dinner or 150 people for cocktails.
