Bermuda Pilot Gig Club

We are a community based rowing club that is open to anyone who wishes to get involved in pilot gig rowing both socially and competitively! BPGC was established in 2015 and has grown to offer 4 rowing locations around the island which share the use of 9 pilot gigs named after historical Bermudian pilots.

Gig rowing has deep roots in Bermuda’s maritime history and culture - take a look around and reach out to find out more! Come enjoy Bermuda’s beautiful water (and creatures) while participating in an old tradition that has found new life in a sporting and social environment.

BPGC offers a variety of rowing experiences to our members, organized by interest and location. Rowing offers many health benefits to all levels of fitness; whether you are looking to de-stress or get in a good workout, we encourage you to give it a try - don’t be afraid if you’ve never rowed before, we are happy to get you started.
