Zika-Free Island Destination
The Zika Virus continues to receive a tremendous amount of attention and, understandably, there may be concerns about traveling to areas where the virus has been transmitted. The Aedes mosquito, which is the most common species to transmit the virus, is not found in Bermuda, so travelers to the island do not need to be concerned about Zika in our destination. The Bermuda Tourism Authority continues to monitor the situation with appropriate local and international health authorities. At this time, travel to Bermuda is as safe and as easy as it’s always been. For travelers concerned about visiting destinations where Zika has been identified, Bermuda may be a location to consider for upcoming meetings or leisure travel.
